Friendly Match | Away – Against Ashurstwood U13

From Sideline

This friendly was an opportunity to keep sharp for next week’s game against Crawley Down Gatwick, to introduce a new player and give others valuable game time.

This was in my opinion a comfortable 3-0 victory and I would like to thank Ian for organising these friendlies which keep our boys sharp.

Ollie made a very promising debut with lots of good link up play – another top boy from Hailsham.

Will and the defence allowed one chance all game and it was great to see Will place such value on a clean sheet with a great save. The back five put in another great performance.

Jack and Jason were excellent again with Jack taking the plaudits and Jason putting in another captain’s knock.

Fraser, Oscar, Jacob and Keane were great going forward and gave a timely reminder of the strength we have in depth. Anthony showed flashes of what he can do and linked well with his teammates.

The new players have integrated well and the back five have mostly been solid. Moving forward we should take confidence from some hard earned points and realise that we can compete with the top teams on an equal footing.

My half term grade is a B.
