Little Common U13s vs Willingdon Athletic U13s

Another excellent performance and a chance for some different players to shine. This was a game we would have expected to win but the way we dominated was most impressive.

The passing and movement between the attacking midfield players meant that our opponents struggled to get into the game. Jason had one of his better games linking play left and right. Keane was tidy and retained possession well. Jack was direct and effective and probably should have scored more than two goals.

The special mentions go to two other attackers and a defender. Anthony made a return to form, his tackling was tenacious and his final product consistently found the mark. His first half goal was created by a subtle feint and a strong finish. Ollie was excellent down the right, he rarely gave the ball away and he personified all that was good in our performance – he played with his head up, dribbled incisively and linked particularly well with Jason and Jack.

Man of the match though was James who gives confidence to those in front of him with his ability to deal with opposition attackers with pace, confidence on the ball and good decision making.

Final score, Little Common 1 – Willingdon Athletic 5.
